2024 High Holy Days Youth

Dear Adath Israel Families:

High Holiday services are an important part of our children’s Jewish education.  Services are being prepared so that each age group will have a meaningful experience. Zayin (7th grade) students will join the congregation in the sanctuary.

On Rosh HaShanah, October 3 and 4, 2024, children’s services will begin at 11:15 a.m. and conclude at 12:45 p.m.  Please note that the Tashlich service will take place by the creek immediately following the conclusion of the services on the first day of Rosh Hashanah

On Yom Kippur, Saturday, October 12, 2024, services will begin at 11:45 a.m. and conclude at 1:30 p.m.  To accommodate families who will remain for Yizkor, extended supervision will be available.  Parents must register their children in advance so that we can provide adequate supervision. We encourage all families and students to come back for Neilah Services at 5:45 p.m.; please bring shofars, spice boxes, and flashlights.

We encourage and welcome every child to actively participate in an age-appropriate service.  In the unlikely event of unreasonable or inappropriate behavior, a child will be escorted back to his/her parents.  If you have a child with special needs, a parent or designated adult should plan to remain with him/her.

To register your child(ren), complete the registration form and return it to the office by
Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office 609-896-4977.
