Mission: Guided by tradition and contemporary Conservative Judaism, Adath Israel Congregation is an open, inclusive and inviting home for all. We connect to our heritage, the Jewish people, Israel ,and God through learning, prayer, and acts of kindness, friendship, and celebration.
Welcome to Adath Israel, an egalitarian Conservative congregation committed to Jewish values, family, community, and inclusiveness.
The Adath Family prides itself in bringing generations together to experience the beauty and warmth of traditional ritual and the personal enrichment provided in award-winning religious school and adult learning programs, immersive cultural opportunities, Tikkun Olam initiatives and dynamic Women’s League, Brotherhood, and United Synagogue Youth (USY) organizations.
Guided by our new spiritual leader, Rabbi Benjamin Adler, and Hazzan Arthur Katlin, a 25-year veteran on our bimah, Adath Israel provides a full spectrum of Jewish experience within the context of Conservative Judaism. Every individual will find an avenue for their personal Jewish expression and development.
We are a proud family and have been for more than 90 years. Adath is innovative. Adath is dedicated. Adath is home. Search our website for further information and for your personal portal of interest.
Accessibility
Adath Israel was one of New Jersey’s pioneering houses of worship. All congregational activities are conducted on a single floor. Special education needs are an integral component of our education system. Our sanctuary, which includes two options for those with hearing loss: headsets or an induction loop and personal neck loops, features a wheelchair accessible seating area and ramp access to the bimah. Large print and Braille holy texts are also available.
Award-Winning Education System
The Adath membership fully understands the centrality and importance of Jewish education in our lives. Beginning with Religious School, Junior Congregation, Tot Sunday Fundays, and Bar/Bat Mitzvah training, our Education Program is comprehensive and award-winning. Our children learn our past and modern history as well as being taught to daven and participate in leading a prayer service. Continuing on the Jewish Journey, cultural programs and adult learning opportunities are an integral part of the Adath experience.
